Internet Use PolicyThe Internet functions in an unregulated, global environment and therefore provides access to a wide variety of resources over which the Library has no control. The information obtained through these electronic resources may not be accurate, complete or current. The Library is not responsible for the content of any resources accessed through its Internet Access Service. We request that all users of our computers sign a "Computer Use Agreement" and adhere to the Library "Computer Users Policy". Agreements for all children under the age of 18 must be co-signed by a parent or guardian. The Library reserves the right to request that children under the age of 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian when using the computer facilities. During busy times, the Library reserves the right to restrict usage to half hour time slots. Library PolicyOur Library is open to both year round and seasonal residents. Family memberships are available. The maximum number of books allowed out at any one time is eight. Only two new releases may be checked out at the same time. Overdue books are charged at the rate of 25¢ per book, per week or part week. Free DVD and video rentals are available for a 2 night loan period. Maximum of 2 DVDs per household please. Overdue DVDs and Videos are charged at a rate of $1.00 per movie, per day. Any damaged or unreturned items must be replaced by the borrower or paid for at the current retail value. |
